Born in the Rust Belt of Cleveland, Ohio, Bill Farkas began his professional music career at age 14 after studying guitar with the legendary jazz guitarist, John Stebal, from the age of 5. He shared Northern Ohio stages with other “young” artists in the 60’s: Joe Walsh (Eagles), Benjamin Orr (Cars), and Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders). He continued his music career while majoring in political science at Hiram College and doing graduate work at Kent State University. Influenced by the political and social climate of the day, Farkas’ songwriting was influenced by the loss of his cousin in Vietnam and four of his classmates at the Kent State National Guard shootings on May 4, 1970. In addition to touring with his music, Bill finds time to write “The Daily Rant”, an interactive political blog at www.noparachute.net with now over 570,000 readers and growing. Bill will be bringing his daily rant show to the live streaming at BZoO HomeGrown Radio starting in April.
